WEEKLY REFLECTION
As per the B.Ed curriculum 2021-2022, the third semester teaching practice started from 14/11/2022, Monday at MMHSS VILAKUDY with 11 teacher trainees from different optionals of MMTC Vilakudy. We, the 11, reached the school at 9:30 AM and gave the joining letter to the Headmaster. Later we went to our respective classes according to the prior time table given.
Jaseena and I were practice buddies for the process from the mathematics optional. She opted VIII standard and I chose IX standard. Manju teacher was my concerned math teacher, she who supported me in taking English medium as well as Malayalam medium classes.
The chapter "Circle measures" was given to me for taking classes for the IX standard students. Acquainted myself and the fellow students and later entered to the topic using ICT by showing images related to the text, which helped in succeeding in getting interest and attention from the students. The week went well and I succeeded in completing my lesson plan in proper time management. The student's interaction was highly appreciable, proper class responses were there. They completed the homework given. When asked questions they responded frequently. Good interaction session was held.
As a teacher, it's a great experience taking live classes for students at school. I succeeded in completing the lesson plan within the time limit. Two topics from the chapter were completed along with the problems related to them. Engaged in all the activities of the school like mid day meal serving, assembly, substitutions, etc. Interaction with colleagues was more beautiful to remember, each other supported us well in this weekly journey.
