Stepping to the sixth week of teaching practice, the week overall was happy and satisfying. The first day was a hectic day with class, substitutions, republic day rally works, etc. We have students for ribbon display, they get regular practice and some of the students helped us in making the placards and writing slogans in it. We took this as a school based activity where we got a chance to help the teachers for the programme. On Tuesday, Abhilash sir gave instructions regarding the Republic Day programme by rolling out everyone to the school ground. He organized and detailed about the arrangement of each student in the rally. Then a mock rally was conducted in the school ground itself.

On Wednesday, A Republic Day Quiz competition was conducted for VIII and IX students under the supervision of Niranjan S and Drishya. Two rounds were there : Prelims and Main. Krishnanjana of IX won the quiz. Final rehearsal for ribbon display was done with the supplements.

On January 26, 2023, an amazing Republic Day function was held in association with Vilakudy Grama Panchayath and volunteered by Rotary club, Kunnicode. Many institutions, government and non-government organizations participated in the rally. One of them was our school MMHSS Vilakudy. Students assembled in the school ground at 7:30 AM for flag hoisting. The flag was hoisted by the Headmaster of the institution. After that each student arranged for the Republic Day rally through the road from School to Kunnicode Junction. The rally started at 9:00 AM and ended at 11:30 AM. Students beautified the Republic Day with various art forms and various costumes. There was participation of almost all students from the school.

Coming to the class, the 29th lesson plan was taken on Monday. Before taking the rest of the unit ‘Proportion’, distributed the diagnostic test answer sheets and cleared their confusion regarding the  area and perimeter of the circle. Hope they get the same. On Tuesday, I was continuing with the unit proportion. Completing the entire lesson plan of 30. The teacher asked to take the portions fast before the SSLC model examination because the school may give off to the students of VIII, IX. This week ended with only taking 3 lesson plans. Thursday was a public holiday and Friday was the study tour, so no classes were taken for the students. The week ended with 31 lesson plans.
